Sliders run horizontally above the decks while the Performance Pads are in the mixer section allowing artists to intuitively combine effects, trigger samples, and scratch tracks. Tempo sliders are longer than sliders on the DDJ-SB3-measuring at 60mm-giving artists finer control. The DDJ-REV1 provides artists with space to perform mixing and scratching techniques with a new control arrangement. To use the DDJ-REV1 with Serato DJ Lite, download the latest version of the software for free.īrand-New Layout Design: Perform IntuitivelyĪrtists are invited to get hands-on with an interface emulating two PLX turntables and a DJM-S series mixer – a common pro battle DJ setup. Unlike previous controllers which require an external soundcard or mixer, artists simply plug their microphone into the DDJ-REV1 and the vocal audio goes straight to their laptop and into the stream. Pioneer DJ’s DDJ-REV1 controller makes it easy for artists to integrate speech and vocals into their sets for social media livestreams. The controller also features Deck 3/4 Control, allowing artists to play sounds from all four decks in the software. In addition, artists can use the controller’s Performance Pads to instantly trigger their favorite samples or tracks loaded on the Serato DJ Lite Scratch Bank-a feature previously only available in Serato DJ Pro. ![]() Artists can choose their desired Scratch Crossfader Cuts pattern by pressing the relevant Performance Pad and pushing the jog forward to scratch. Tracking Scratch enables artists to automatically return the track to its cue point by moving the jog wheel from backward to forward or taking their hand away from the controller-removing the need for crossfader use or jog wheel wind back. The DDJ-REV DJ Controller Series is an ideal solution for open-format and scratch DJs as it emulates a professional DJM-S mixer and PLX turntable setup. The two-channel unit comes equipped with Serato DJ Lite software and boasts a new battle-style layout for artists looking to begin scratch and open-format DJing. Also, with rekordbox, it automatically creates a History Playlist that you can export as txt file, etc, which makes setlists, or reporting very easy.AlphaTheta Corporation today introduces an addition to its new line of Pioneer DJ controllers, the DDJ-REV1. GeekGod: this is perfect for radio stations that want an automatic way to broadcast track info to their listeners, but currently they must use Kuvo App or website, there's no API currently to broadcast the track info to your website, etc. Also it exports the ID file for you when you make a USB library with rekordbox. You can opt in or out, or make some track private. rekordbox can be connected directly to the ProDJ Link LAN network and play music directly from your Hard Drive, and if you login with your Kuvo account in rekordbox 2.2, then it does this automatically. You can register for the kuvo service independently, download an ID file and put that on your USB or SD Card alongside your MP3s, so when you play on the CDJs, it will transmit the data for the gateway box to pick up and match with your Kuvo registered account. Makar1: the box is needed at all times, however rekordbox is not essential. The ProDJ Link knows what track is playing, because of the On Air function, so the track ID is only sent when the mixer firmware confirms there's an output on the master and that it's coming from the correct player ID on the corresponding mixer channel. The box simply transmits whatever track Metadata is written in the ID3 tag. The ProDJ Link is the network that connects the CDJs and mixers together so they can share tracks and data with each other. It is a box that is installed between the mixer and the PA if I am reading into this correctly. The box connects to the Pioneer ProDJ Link and the internet only. ![]()
